Nowhere near quitting my day job yet...

So, book 2, Taking Chances, is out! Yay me! It's so thrilling to know that something I created is out there. In the world. And at least 100 people have read it. Thus the title of this blog post. So much for being an instant success.

When I started down this path, I honestly thought writing the book was the hard part. Right? All I have to do is write the book, and the rest will take care of itself. Boy, was I naïve. As it turns out, writing the book is the easy part... Editing, promoting, marketing, etc.--that's the hard part. Coupled with the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing. Well, I know a little more than I did. So that's a start.

I am hard at work on book 3, Second Chances, which comes out in late September. And since I haven't hit the lottery, or the NYT bestseller list, I continue to work as a psych nurse at night while I write (and everything else) during the day.

Thank you to those who have bought my books and to those who have helped me along the way. I'll remember you when I'm famous. Of course, that won't be anytime soon.
